Rake Structure
In a game of poker, 'rake' means a certain fee that an online poker platform charges from the player for hosting a poker game. It is a small percentage of the amount of money taken from the pot in cash games. In tournaments, the rake is collected from the buy-in fees. The rake is the primary source of income that online poker rooms make from poker games.
Since Poker is a player vs player game, the hosting platform does not bet against its players. Therefore, rake is the primary source in poker games to generate revenue.

Tournament Rake: A fixed entry fee is charged in poker tournaments. The entry fee may vary from tournament to tournament, and the split of the tournament buy-in and entry fee can be viewed in the tournament lobby of every tournament.
